Título: Residual finiteness of some outer automorphism groups 



Abstract: In this talk, I will review the concept of a residual finite group and justify why this is an interesting property. I show that the outer automorphism group of a free group is residually finite. Then I will indicate how this proof generalizes to other groups of negative curvature and in particular explain the following statement: In a torsion-free acylindrically hyperbolic group, every automorphism that preserves conjugacy classes is inner (i.e. given by a global conjugation).  This is based on a joint work with A. Minasyan and A. Sisto.
