ABSTRACT: In 1989 Robert Coleman formulated a remarkable
conjecture concerning so-called `circular distributions' which
effectively amounts to a precise prediction about the Galois
module structure of the set of Euler systems defined over
abelian extensions of $mathbb{Q}$. In this talk we define
circular distributions and state Coleman's conjecture. We then
turn towards a construction of higher rank Euler systems over
arbitrary number fields which leads naturally to the
formulation of a `generalised' Coleman conjecture. This is joint
work with David Burns, Takamichi Sano and Soogil Seo.
